Major Christine Smith representing the Salvation Army was our guest speaker. She along with her husband, Major Todd Smith, serve as Area Commanders for Knoxville. Major Smith discussed the Angel Tree program of Knoxville which serves more than 18,000 children. In support of the Angel Tree, members brought gifts to the December meeting.


Mayors Photo

Mayor Rogero discussed several projects and city investment in Knoxville, specifically the Cumberland Avenue project with changes making it more pedestrian friendly. She also discussed the South Knoxville water project with the development of a park and walk way along the river.

Madeline Rogero was elected the 68th Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee and is the first woman to hold the office. Her career includes serving as the city’s community development director, Knox County commissioner, non-profit executive, urban and regional planner, community volunteer and neighborhood champion.

Mayor Rogero is dedicated to promoting a vibrant local economy, strong neighborhoods, a high quality of life, a thriving downtown and a greener Knoxville. She believes Knoxville’s strength comes from the diversity of its people and the beauty of its natural resources



Dave Luna

David Luna – Marketing and Selling to Millennials & TRID update

David Luna has more than 35 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry. He currently spends most his time traveling from coast to coast training mortgage lending professionals. David combines his wit, a natural flare for teaching and current events to entertain and educate even the most seasoned industry experts. He presently serves on national and state boards and holds several national and state certifications. He has been a consultant for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, as well as other large national banks. He has been featured in Mortgage Technology Magazine, National Mortgage Press, newspapers, NBC, CBS and ABC. David is President of Mortgage Educators and Compliance, an NMLS approved education provider.


June Meeting – Economic Development

Doug Lawyer is Vice President of Economic Development for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. Doug discussed the new companies coming to the region.


Chip Eichelberger is a master motivational speaker and former international point man for Tony Robbins. His topic, “Get Switched On,” focused on improving sales and quality of life.
